Chatham History Weekend
Grounds of the William and Anne Historic Homestead Site will be open 10 am to 4 pm. The c. 1829 Caleb Nickerson Homestead will be open for self-guided tours 10 am to 3 pm. Talks: 10 am Timber framer Ian Ellison on the reconstruction of the historic barn; 11 am “I Dig It:” Gary Nickerson on the archaeological excavation of William & Anne’s c. 1664 homestead; Noon: “Dooryard Garden in a Container:” Sonny Gada plants a portable kitchen herb garden; 1 to 2:30 pm: Fiber artist Cheryl Flett demonstrates spinning wool. All talks are free.
