Originally called Decoration Day, from the early tradition of decorating graves with flowers, wreaths, and flags, Memorial Day is a day for remembrance of those who have died in service to our country.
In the event of inclement weather, the observance will be held indoors at the Community Center. There will be seating available.
The Chatham Coast Guard Commander, Senior Chief Ross Comstock, will be the guest speaker. Laura Barabe will lead us in song. Sarah Marchio will play bagpipe.
