Development & Communications Associate

CCF seeks a Development & Communications Associate to support donor engagement, fundraising events, communications, and outreach. This staff will play an essential role in strengthening donor relationships, coordinating community events, and maintaining a consistent and professional presence across our digital platforms. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for conservation.

This is a full-time position which requires frequent weekend work, must be within reasonable commuting distance as activities are on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Donor Development & Events
    • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing donor cultivation and fundraising events.
    • Manage event logistics, including invitations, venue coordination, materials, and follow-up.
    • Attend and staff all events, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for participants.
    • Track event attendance and donor engagement, ensuring timely thank-you letters and acknowledgments.
  • Communications & Outreach
    • Manage updates to the CCF website (Wix), Tockify calendar, and social media platforms.
    • Draft, schedule, and post engaging content to highlight CCF’s programs, events, and conservation work.
    • Maintain and distribute email communications and newsletters.
    • Support outreach and education initiatives to expand community awareness of CCF’s mission.
  • Administration & Support 
    • Maintain the organizational calendar of events, tasks, and timelines.
    • Track donations, pledges, and event income, and assist with data entry into donor management systems.
    • Provide research and support grant writing and tracking.
    • Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and the Board to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Business and Corporate Sponsorships
    • Develop and manage corporate sponsorship packages to support programming and events, serving as the main point of contact for sponsors and ensuring timey delivery of benefits
 
 
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and website content management (Wix preferred).
  • Experience with event planning and management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
  • Comfort with donor interaction and community engagement.
  • Passion for land conservation and environmental stewardship is a plus.
Position Details:
  • Full-time salaried position  (4 day work week~30-35 hours/week, with flexibility).
  • Attend all events, evening and weekend availability required.
  • Compensation commensurate with experience.
