About Us
I've been a professional potter since 1972. From 1972 to 1989 I was a studio potter living outside of Woodstock N.Y. Selling to galleries all along the Eastern Seaboard and doing craft fairs. Then in 1989 I moved to Chatham and formed Chatham Pottery with a partner. We manufactured pottery together till 2014. I gave up my interest in Chatham Pottery so that I could go back to making handmade pottery again and started Chatham Stoneware. Chatham Stoneware has given me a chance to grow in new directions on my own again. All of the pottery at Chatham Stoneware is made here in my studio in Chatham by me on a potter's wheel. I am able create pottery in a more fluid way and again am enjoying making pots by hand again.
