About Us

Our mission is to provide access to boating and marine science education, and to demonstrate environmental stewardship on Pleasant Bay.
Pleasant Bay Community Boating is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization offering boating, marine education, and environmental stewardship opportunities to residents and visitors to the Pleasant Bay region. We are dedicated to serving all members of the community including those with physical, developmental and cognitive disabilities, as well as under-served families and at-risk youth.

PBCB is a hidden gem -a community treasure, thanks to our donors who care about this magical place. Majestic and pristine, Pleasant Bay hasn’t changed much over the years. But its coastline has. The bustling sailing camps that used to dot the waterline have been replaced by private homes. As public access to the shoreline has diminished, so has the community’s connection with the water. The Pleasant Bay Community Boating campus is a cornerstone of the community: a multi-generational gathering place for learning, research, recreation, and stewardship of the Bay.

PBCB now sustains a 3.7 acre property and offers programs for more than 4,000 individuals each year.
