Habitat Cape Cod to Host 9th Annual Ride for Homes - Sponsored by KAM Appliances on Sunday, September 13th

YARMOUTH PORT, MA – Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod will host its 9th Annual Ride for Homes, sponsored by KAM Appliances, on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The event will begin and end at the US Coast Guard Station at the Cape Cod Canal in Sandwich.
Participants can choose from three cycling routes or two walk/run options. The 50-mile ride begins at 7:00 a.m. and departs for the Shining Sea Bike Path from North Falmouth to Woods Hole and back. At 9:00 a.m., the 20-mile ride departs for Mashnee Island, and the 14-mile ride begins along the Cape Cod Canal. The 5K and 10K run or walk will take place along the Cape Cod Canal.
Registration is now open. The registration fee is $95 dollars and counts toward the total fundraising goal. The fundraising minimum is $300 dollars for cyclists and $200 dollars for runners and walkers.
Special Invitation for Active Military & Veterans. As a thank you for their service, Habitat Cape Cod is waiving the $95 registration fee. Use promo code MILITARY when registering. Participants who meet the fundraising minimum by 8:00 a.m. on the day of the event will receive a performance hoodie. Individuals who raise $1,000 dollars or more will also receive a Ride for Homes vest.
Following the event, participants are invited to remain on site for lobster rolls, burgers, yoga, music, games, and prizes. The after-party ends at 1 p.m.

Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod has built nearly 200 homes from Bourne to Provincetown, and in 2026, new builds in Falmouth, Brewster, and Pocasset will begin. Additional builds over the next few years are planned for Yarmouth, Marstons Mills, Orleans, and North Falmouth. Qualifying families are selected via drawing. Future homeowners contribute sweat equity by helping build their homes alongside local volunteers, and then they purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage. Habitat Cape Cod has been nationally recognized for building energy-efficient, affordable homes. All homes are deed-restricted to remain affordable in perpetuity. Habitat Cape Cod relies on the generosity of our community to build affordable homes with local Cape Cod families.
