Cape Cod Healthcare Announces February Blood Drives

 
(Hyannis, January 30) Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital are in urgent need of blood donations. Numerous blood drives are being held across Cape Cod in February to benefit Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC). Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital must have at least one week’s worth of blood on hand at all times. Since each unit collected or purchased only lasts 42 days, it is a constant challenge to maintain sufficient supply. All the blood collected at Cape Cod Healthcare blood drives help our families, friends and neighbors. 
 
All donors to CCHC blood drives in February will receive a Stop & Shop gift card.
 
Cape Cod Healthcare blood drives are scheduled in the coming weeks, including:

  • February 2: 10:40 a.m. – 5 p.m., Harwich Police Department, 183 Sisson Road, Harwich
  • February 3: 9:40 a.m. – 4 p.m., St. Anthony’s Fatima Hall - part of St. Joseph Guardian of the Holy Family Parish, 167 East Falmouth Highway – East Falmouth
  • February 6: 10:40 a.m. – 5 p.m., 16th Annual U.S. Marine Corporal Nicholas G. Xiarhos Memorial Blood Drive, Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors, 22 Mid-Tech Drive, W. Yarmouth
  • February 7: 7:40 a.m. – 2 p.m., 16th Annual U.S. Marine Corporal Nicholas G. Xiarhos Memorial Blood Drive, Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors, 22 Mid-Tech Drive, W. Yarmouth

Donations can also be made at the Nicholas G. Xiarhos Blood Donor Center at Cape Cod Hospital. The Donor Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To make an appointment for the Nicholas G. Xiarhos Blood Donor Center, please call us at 508-862-5663.

Driving in Chatham

Vehicles must be parked within the white lines.

When approaching a rotary (traffic circle), traffic in the rotary has the right of way.

Right turn at red light is permitted, except where noted.

Highway speed limit is 55 mph.

Seat belt use is required in Massachusetts. Child restraints are required for children 4 and under.

Legal driving age is 16 years.

Pedestrians have right of way at crosswalks.

Recycling in Chatham

Chatham Recycles is a volunteer-driven educational program designed to encourage residents, visitors and businesses to reduce their trash output and increase their recycling efforts.
