Come join us as we celebrate the holiday season!
On Saturday, December 11 from 10am-4pm the museum will be open with free admission. Stop by during Chatham's Christmas by the Sea Stoll Weekend. The hearth of the old house will be ablaze with yuletide cheer. Discover how Christmas was celebrated in 19th Century New England. Light refreshments and warm beverages will be served in the spirit of an old-fashioned wassail. Please dress warmly and bring good cheer.
The first three weekends in December the Atwood Museum will be open Fridays and Saturdays from 1pm-4pm. The museum will be decorated, the holiday trains will be running, the gift shop will have its year-end sale, and the Atwood Sleigh is ready to be filled with new hats, gloves, mittens, and scarves for children in need, and non-perishables and canned goods will be collected for Cape Cod Family Pantry. December will be your last chance to catch our World War II, Main Street Cape Cod, and The Turning Point and Wampanoag exhibits, as we are planning three new exhibits for 2022. So if you have not yet seen these, make your plans to visit us!
After December 18th the museum will reopen in May 2022.
