Simple and informative lessons in using color effectively and purposefully will be illustrated step by step in this three-day class on creating luminous colors using a pure pigment palette. No more muddy colors! Liz will introduce the fundamentals of color mixing, color blending and also specific glazing techniques. These lessons can also apply to other mediums, but this class will concentrate mostly on the use of watercolor. Along with learning to mix powerful and soft tones of all hues, you will learn to create your own beautifully warm and cool blacks, browns and greys, using your primary color palette. Controlled brush technique and water applications, and basic color theory will be covered, and a few tips on composition.
