Pleasant Bay Community Boating Sailabration Gala & Auction

Thousands of people on Cape Cod live within walking distance of the water and have never been on a boat. Pleasant Bay Community Boating is determined to change that.  It has been Pleasant Bay Community Boating's (PBCB's) mission is to make boating, marine education and stewardship programs affordable and accessible to all. To make this mission a reality, PBCB is hosting the Sailabration Gala & Auction which is their largest fundraiser of the year. The event will be held at the Five-Star Wequassett Resort & Golf Club in Harwich on August 26, 2021 from 5:30-8:30p.m.

The event will feature hors d'oeuvres, a carving station, raw bar, assorted desserts, and
complimentary local wines and beers along with a raffle, an online auction and a game of Heads
or Tails. The auction and the raffle will run 100% online this year, but the action packed  "Heads
or Tails" game will be in-person. The Pleasant Bay Boating Community works hard to deliver on

PBCB was founded in 2014 to serve residents and visitors of the Pleasant Bay region
including those with physical, developmental and cognitive disabilities, as well as under-served
families and at-risk youth. Because of events like the Sailabration Gala & Auction, PBCB has
raised money to fund a 3.75 acre waterfront facility a floating marine science classroom, a fleet
of over 80 boats and has retired most of their debt significantly strengthened infrastructure. With
the help and generosity from the guests at this year's event, PBCB can educate even more people about the community center for boating, learning and caring about our shared treasure, Pleasant Bay.
