Nauset High Sports Boosters to Host 8th Annual ‘Evening for Champions’ at Ocean Edge Resort

The Evening for Champions fundraiser supporting all Nauset Regional High School student athletes will be held at Ocean Edge Resort on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 6-9 p.m. The nonprofit organization hosts the “fun-raising” event to ensure that all Nauset High sports remain fee-free for every athlete. Many extraordinary gift donations from the greater Nauset business community – plus hundreds of volunteer hours by the Boosters’ event committee – make this a night to remember.
“Our much-anticipated fundraiser brings together parents of athletes, coaches, high school faculty, and other sports fans for a special night out,” said organizer Lisa Still. “We’re excited to bring our supportive Nauset community together, overlooking Cape Cod Bay at the Mansion at Ocean Edge, and outbidding each other for the benefit of our student athletes.”
The event features a buffet dinner, dessert and coffee, live and silent auctions including valuable gift baskets compiled by every sports team, and a cash bar. Tickets are $65 and available online at NausetBoosters.com. The Nauset Boosters welcome community members to join them at this adult-only event at Ocean Edge Resort, 2907 Main Street, Brewster.

Chatham, Cape Cod Town Resources

One of the older townships on Cape Cod, Chatham was settled in 1656 by William and Anne Busby Nickerson. Incorporated in 1712, the town’s census list now approximates 7,000 residents. Originally a farming community, its inhabitants found deep sea fishing more lucrative; and today, small boat deep sea fishing, as well as shell fishing continue as important maritime industries.

Covering an area of approximately seventeen square miles, Chatham is  a happy combination of past and present — old-fashioned and picturesque, yet affording the best in modern facilities.

Surrounded by water on three sides, Chatham benefits from Mother Nature’s “natural air conditioning” with cool summers, exquisite autumns, and mild winters. It is a comfortable place in which to live year-round, as a summer resident or visit on vacation. We are proud of our community and hope that you will enjoy your stay with us and return often.

Chatham operates under the town meeting form of government. The executive officers are a board of five part-time Selectmen and a Town Manager. The citizens of Chatham enjoy the special benefits of forward-looking zoning and planning, and of both public and private conservation efforts.
