Cape Cod Healthcare Announces March Blood Drives
(Hyannis, February 27) Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital are in urgent need of blood donations. These upcoming drives are especially important. This week’s winter storm forced the cancellation of most scheduled blood drives, creating an immediate and critical blood shortage.
Numerous blood drives are being held across Cape Cod in March to benefit Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC). Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital must have at least one week’s worth of blood on hand at all times. Since each unit collected or purchased only lasts 42 days, it is a constant challenge to maintain sufficient supply. All the blood collected at Cape Cod Healthcare blood drives help our families, friends and neighbors.
All donors to CCHC blood drives in March will receive Cumberland Farms gift card.
Cape Cod Healthcare blood drives are scheduled in the coming weeks, including:

- March 3: 10:40 a.m. – 5 p.m., Chatham Works, 323 Orleans Road, N. Chatham
- March 4: 10:40 a.m. – 5 p.m., Harwich Police Department, 183 Sisson Road, Harwich
- March 7: 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Cape Cod Hospital, Nicholas G. Xiarhos Blood Donor Center, 27 Park St., Hyannis
- March 9: 9:40 a.m. – 4 p.m., Unitarian Universalist Church, 840 Sandwich Road, Falmouth
- March 10: 9:40 a.m. – 4 p.m., Barnstable Police Department/Hyannis Youth & Community Center, 141 Bassett Lane, Hyannis

Driving in Chatham
Vehicles must be parked within the white lines.
When approaching a rotary (traffic circle), traffic in the rotary has the right of way.
Right turn at red light is permitted, except where noted.
Highway speed limit is 55 mph.
Seat belt use is required in Massachusetts. Child restraints are required for children 4 and under.
Legal driving age is 16 years.
Pedestrians have right of way at crosswalks.
