Cape & Islands United Way Announces “Best Night of the Year” – June 26 at Pelham House Resort

Cape Cod, MA — The Cape and Islands United Way is proud to announce the return of its signature fundraising event, Best Night of the Year, taking place on Friday, June 26 at the beautiful Pelham House Resort.

Each year, Best Night brings together donors, volunteers, business leaders, and community members for an inspiring evening dedicated to strengthening the Cape and Islands community. The event plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s mission to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive, every family can achieve self-reliance, and every individual has a safe place to call home.

The Cape & Islands United Way partners with more than 75 local nonprofits, funding programs that impact more than 50,000 people annually across the region. Best Night is central to that work, generating a significant portion of the funds distributed each year. In fact, more than one-third of the organization’s annual community investments are raised through events, with the majority coming from this one unforgettable evening.

“Our Best Night sponsors and attendees have a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of our neighbors,” said Mark Skala, President and CEO of Cape & Islands United Way. “This event is not only a celebration of community, but a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together.”

This year, Puritan Cape Cod will be honored with the organization’s prestigious Visionary Award, recognizing its longstanding commitment to supporting the Cape Cod community. The award has previously been presented to notable community and business leaders, including Rana Murphy, Tony Shepley, Shawn DeLude, Lisa and Richard Oliver, and Bert Talerman.

Guests can expect an evening of connection, celebration, and purpose, all set against the scenic backdrop of Nantucket Sound. Best Night offers sponsors and attendees the opportunity to increase their visibility, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to lasting change across the region.
