New Chatham Location on May 12
CHATHAM, Mass. — J. Bar, Cape Cod’s beloved vegan café and juice bar, is thrilled to officially announce the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of its newest location in Chatham. The event will take place on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. at the Shops at 400 Main.
After a soft opening in fall of last year, the ribbon cutting marks the official welcome of J. Bar to the Chatham community. Everyone is welcome to attend. Friends can expect exclusive first looks at the fresh seasonal menu, and a chance to meet the J. Bar team.
“We are honored to join the Chatham community and can’t wait to celebrate this exciting milestone,” said Erin Tucker, owner of J. Bar. “Our mission has always been to serve clean, plant-based food that fuels and inspires — and we’re grateful to share that mission with even more of Cape Cod.”
Known for its vibrant smoothie bowls, fresh made juice, salads, elixirs, and plant-based treats, J. Bar’s new location brings the same commitment to organic, unprocessed ingredients that has made its Harwich Port location a local favorite for the past decade.
J. Bar Chatham joins a thriving community of local businesses at 400 Main Street, with plans to engage in local events and deepen its connection with residents and visitors alike. The Harwich Port location (537 MA-28) will reopen mid-May, continuing to offer nourishing favorites.

Chatham, Cape Cod Town Resources
One of the older townships on Cape Cod, Chatham was settled in 1656 by William and Anne Busby Nickerson. Incorporated in 1712, the town’s census list now approximates 7,000 residents. Originally a farming community, its inhabitants found deep sea fishing more lucrative; and today, small boat deep sea fishing, as well as shell fishing continue as important maritime industries.
Covering an area of approximately seventeen square miles, Chatham is a happy combination of past and present — old-fashioned and picturesque, yet affording the best in modern facilities.
Surrounded by water on three sides, Chatham benefits from Mother Nature’s “natural air conditioning” with cool summers, exquisite autumns, and mild winters. It is a comfortable place in which to live year-round, as a summer resident or visit on vacation. We are proud of our community and hope that you will enjoy your stay with us and return often.
Chatham operates under the town meeting form of government. The executive officers are a board of five part-time Selectmen and a Town Manager. The citizens of Chatham enjoy the special benefits of forward-looking zoning and planning, and of both public and private conservation efforts.
