Cape Cod Healthcare Announces August Blood Drives

 
(Hyannis, July 31st) Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital are in urgent need of blood donations. Numerous blood drives are being held across Cape Cod in August to benefit Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC). Cape Cod and Falmouth hospitals must have at least one week’s worth of blood on hand at all times. Since each unit collected or purchased only lasts 42 days, it is a constant challenge to maintain sufficient supply. All the blood collected at Cape Cod Healthcare blood drives help our families, friends and neighbors. 
 
All donors to CCHC blood drives in August will receive a Cumberland Farms gift card.   
 
Cape Cod Healthcare blood drives are scheduled in the coming weeks, including:

  • August 1: 8:40 a.m. – 3 p.m., Falmouth Hospital, Burwell Conference Room, 100 Ter Heun Drive, Falmouth
  • August 5: 8:40 a.m. – 3 p.m., Cotuit Federated Church, 40 School St., Cotuit
  • August 6: 9:40 a.m. – 4 p.m., Bass River Rod & Gun Club, 621 Route 6A, Yarmouth Port
  • August 7: 10:40 a.m. - 5 p.m., Dennis Police Department, 90 Bob Crowell Road, Dennis
  • August 8: 10:10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., St. Joan of Arc, 61 Canal Road, Orleans
  • August 12: 10:40 a.m. – 5 p.m., Harwich Police Department, 183 Sisson Road, Harwich
  • August 13: 10:40 a.m. – 5 p.m., Chatham Works, 323 Orleans Road, N. Chatham
  • August 14: 8:40 a.m. – 3 p.m., Salt Pond Visitor Center, 50 Nauset Road, Eastham

  • August 18: 10:40 a.m. – 5 p.m., Christ the King Church, 3 Jobs Fishing Road, Mashpee

Driving in Chatham

Vehicles must be parked within the white lines.

When approaching a rotary (traffic circle), traffic in the rotary has the right of way.

Right turn at red light is permitted, except where noted.

Highway speed limit is 55 mph.

Seat belt use is required in Massachusetts. Child restraints are required for children 4 and under.

Legal driving age is 16 years.

Pedestrians have right of way at crosswalks.

Recycling in Chatham

Chatham Recycles is a volunteer-driven educational program designed to encourage residents, visitors and businesses to reduce their trash output and increase their recycling efforts.
