Cape & Islands United Way to Host Annual Power of the Purse Event in October
Power of the Purse supports programs and collaborations that help women and families with young children get a stronger start to life.
Hyannis, MA — Cape & Islands United Way (CIUW) will host its annual Power of the Purse event on October 15, 2025. CIUW’s Power of the Purse is a celebration of unity, empowerment, and community impact that brings together over 200 influential professionals for an evening filled with networking, inspiration, and excitement. To purchase tickets or become a sponsor for the event, visit https://www.capeandislandsuw.org/pop.
Attendees will enjoy exquisite food, seasonal cocktails, and the dynamic energy of our designer handbag auction featuring coveted brands and unique offerings. From now through the event, you can purchase a raffle ticket to be entered to win this year’s It Bag: a Givenchy Mini Antigona Bag in Black Leather. Only 200 tickets will be sold at $50 each.
Power of the Purse benefits Women United, an initiative of the United Way that supports programs and collaborations that help women and families with young children get a stronger start to life. The funds raised at Power of the Purse supports projects like the CIUW’s community baby showers, community programs like We Can and A Baby Center, and provides financial assistance to women studying at Cape Cod Community College.
Sponsorships are available to showcase your organization as a forward-thinking support of hardworking women and families struggling now more than ever to be financially secure. This year, we are launching a “Sponsor a Purse” level starting at $100.
