Cape Cod Healthcare Announces September Blood Drives
(Hyannis, September 2) Cape Cod Hospital and Falmouth Hospital are in urgent need of blood donations. Numerous blood drives are being held across Cape Cod in September to benefit Cape Cod Healthcare (CCHC). Cape Cod and Falmouth hospitals must have at least one week’s worth of blood on hand at all times. Since each unit collected or purchased only lasts 42 days, it is a constant challenge to maintain sufficient supply. All the blood collected at Cape Cod Healthcare blood drives help our families, friends and neighbors.
All donors to CCHC blood drives in September will receive a Wendy’s gift card.
Cape Cod Healthcare blood drives are scheduled in the coming weeks, including:

- September 2: 10:40 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sandwich Library, 142 Main St., Sandwich
- September 3: 10:40 a.m. – 5 p.m., Harwich Police Department, 183 Sisson Road, Harwich
- September 4: 9:40 a.m. – 4 p.m., Riverview School, 551 Route 6A, Sandwich
- September 8: 9:40 a.m. - 4 p.m., Woods Hole Science Aquarium, 166 Water St., Woods Hole
- September 10:9:40 a.m. – 4 p.m., Orleans/Eastham Elks, 10 McKoy Road, Eastham
- September 11: 8:40 a.m. – 3 p.m., YMCA, 2245 Iyannough Road, West Barnstable
- September 16: 9:40 a.m. – 4 p.m., St. Anthony’s Fatima Hall - part of St. Joseph Guardian of the Holy Family Parish, 167 East Falmouth Highway – East Falmouth
- September 17: 9:40 a.m. - 4 p.m., Wellfleet United Methodist Church, 246 Main St., Wellfleet
- September 18: 9:40 a.m. - 4 p.m., Massachusetts Maritime Academy, 101 Academy Drive, Buzzards Bay

Driving in Chatham
Vehicles must be parked within the white lines.
When approaching a rotary (traffic circle), traffic in the rotary has the right of way.
Right turn at red light is permitted, except where noted.
Highway speed limit is 55 mph.
Seat belt use is required in Massachusetts. Child restraints are required for children 4 and under.
Legal driving age is 16 years.
Pedestrians have right of way at crosswalks.

Chatham Recycles is a volunteer-driven educational program designed to encourage residents, visitors and businesses to reduce their trash output and increase their recycling efforts.
